In addition to my graduate teaching assignments at the University of Minnesota, I have taught outside the Department of Writing Studies as well.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Course: Comics 101
In Winter 2015, I developed and taught a six-week course on comic book history to Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) members. OLLI students are a part of “a vital community of older adults who are brought together by their intellectual curiosity and love of learning” (OLLI.umn.edu). The course was lecture and discussion based, and was a joy to prepare and teach.

Technological Leadership Institute Master of Security Technologies: Writing Consultant
For the past two years, I have been working with classes in the Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) as a writing consultant. I work with students in the Master of Security Technologies (MSST) program on a variety of workplace and academic assignments. I primarily deliver talks about strategies for persuading “C-level” (CEOs, CFOs, etc.) executives about technology problems and solutions and provide feedback on student papers.
